What's the difference between your Everyday Rings and Ring Weapons?

Our Everyday Rings and Ring Weapons are both sharp and discreet self defense rings designed as stylish jewelry.

Our line of Everyday Rings is called Defender Ring.

Our line of Ring Weapons is called Defender Ring X.

The difference between our Everyday Rings and Ring Weapons is their size.

Our Everyday Rings are equipped with a concealed 5 mm blade weapon and designed in a minimalist jewelry style.

Our Ring Weapons are equipped with a concealed 10 mm blade weapon and designed in a maximalist jewelry style.

How sharp is the weapon? What can it cut?

All of our rings have a sharp blade weapon with grinded edges and a pointed tip. They can cut through fabric, plastic and thin metal and can easily rip, tear and cut through human skin.

How deep can the weapon cut into skin?

The blade weapons on all of our rings are big enough to cut blood vessels and strike nerve cells.

Epidermis, the outer layer of skin on humans is on average 1 mm deep and equal to 20% of Defender Ring's blade length.

Dermis, the next layer, is 2-3 mm deep and contains blood vessels and nerve endings. Defender Ring can fully penetrate the Dermis layer of skin with 60-80% of its blade length.

Defender Ring X has a larger blade weapon and can devestatingly cut through human skin, draw blood, and inflict damage.

How long does it take to unscrew the ring tops?

Defender Ring and Defender Ring X can be unscrewed in approximately 2-3 seconds. With practice, most people can unscrew the ring in less than 2-3 seconds.

How do I defend myself with Defender Ring and Defender Ring X?

There are 3 instinctive defensive moves that you can use to defend yourself wearing Defender Ring or Defender Ring X.

1. Punch
Wear Defender Ring or Defender Ring X, make a fist, and punch an attacker in the eyes, throat or face to create a deep puncture wound.

2. Slash
Wear Defender Ring or Defender Ring X, make a fist and slash an attacker using a sideways motion in the eyes, throat or face to create a long gash.

3. Grab and Pull
Wear Defender Ring or Defender Ring X on the inside of your palm so the knife is facing inward instead of outward. Grab an attacker's arm and pull to gouge and create a long gash.

What can Defender Ring and Defender Ring X do for self defense?

1. Inflict Serious Pain to an Attacker

Defender Ring and Defender Ring X's blade weapons can strike nerve cells and inflict serious pain to an attacker.

2. Cause Significant Damage to an Attacker

Defender Ring and Defender Ring X's sharp blade can cut skin and blood vessels, drawing blood and causing significant damage to an attacker.

3. Collect DNA of an Attacker

Defender Ring and Defender Ring X can collect the DNA of an attacker through skin cells or blood.

What's the difference between defending yourself, and defending yourself wearing Defender Ring or Defender Ring X?

Defending yourself with your bare hands may not cause enough damage or pain to an attacker or be able to collect his DNA.

Defender Ring and Defender Ring X's blade weapons can supplement your instinctive defensive moves with the ability to rip and tear human skin, draw blood, and inflict pain, and collect the DNA of an attacker.

How big is the blade weapon?

Defender Ring's blade weapon is 5 mm in length by 2 mm in diameter. Defender Ring X's blade weapon is 10 mm in length by 4 mm in diameter.

What's the ring made of?

The band and blade weapon are made of 316L Stainless Steel, known for its strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and hypoallergenic properties.

The ring tops are made of different materials including 925 Sterling Silver, 316L Stainless Steel, 14K Gold, Rose Gold, and Colored Enamels.

Do the rings require any maintenance?

As both jewelry and self-defense weapons, Defender Ring and Defender Ring X must be intermittently cleaned and cared for to maintain their appearance and functionality.

How are the ring tops interchangeable?

All ring tops have a nut thread which allow them to connect to the ring band's bolt thread.

All Defender Ring tops can be interchanged with all other Defender Ring tops and fit on all Defender Ring bands.
